Adding Content

Adding content is an easy way for teachers to customize any activity to their liking. To add to an activity, go to the Works/Questions page in an activity and mouse over the [+] Insert Content. From here, teachers will be able to see a list of different content formats that can be added to the activity. 

Below, is a list of the different question formats that are available for teachers to use when creating their own activity.

Different from questions, the content section contains content blocks that teachers can add which are more presentational while questions are for students to submit. Below is a list of the different content formats that are available for teachers to use when creating their own activities.


Importing Content

Mousing over the Import Content From... button will also allow teachers to import content from different areas within the classroom such as pages, assignments, or assessments. Importing content from resource groups will allow the teacher to use content that has been made inside of the resource library in their newly created activity.

The Import Content From... button will copy every block from the target and either merge with or overwrite the content in the desired location. For assignments and assessments, teachers can choose between the instructions separately from the work/questions section.


Editing content blocks

After adding a content block, mousing over a single content block will display content editing tools for the teacher to use.

The different tools that are given are (from left to right):

  • Move content block up (only available for more than 2 content blocks)
  • Move content block down (only available for more than 2 content blocks)
  • Copy section block - Please see our article on how to copy different content
  • Move section block
  • Add discussion to this section
  • Visibility settings
  • Delete section block
