In this quick article, we will discuss the markup image function. The markup image feature allows students to make edits to the image you provide, including annotations, drawings, and more. If this sounds like something helpful to add to your assignments, continue reading on how to add it!

How to add a Markup Image Question

  1. To add a markup image function, go to an activity you created and move over to the Work/Questions tab. Then, click Insert Content on the page.
  2. You should see a list of available questions you can put on your activity. Go ahead and click on the Markup Image option.
  3. Then, you can simply upload an image for students to work on and edit. In this example, a teacher uploaded this picture.
  4. Click the save or continue to add more questions. Teachers can also see a preview of the question created and make changes accordingly.

Once students click the Start marking up image button, students are able to edit the image and submit it. This includes adding shapes, arrows, text, highlights, and free drawing! Once they are done editing, in the top right, they can click the "✓" to save, or click the "X" to exit.
