In this article we will explain polling questions for teacher use. Polls are an easy way for teachers to receive information from students or make note of how the class environment is like.


How to add a Polling Question

To add a polling question, simply have an activity created, then hover over [+] Insert Content on the Work/Questions page and click on Polling.


Using the Polling Questions

Upon seeing the polling questions section, teachers can add a prompt (outlined in blue) and also enter the different options they have for polling (outlined in red). Teachers can add poll by clicking on [+] Option at the bottom left of the section block or delete options by clicking the (X) located next to each individual option. 


Seeing polling results

After students have submitted polls, teachers can enter the quick grader (located at the top right corner in the previous image) and use it to view the class' results. 

From here the teachers are able to see all the different statistics from the class poll:

  • Number of students that have answered the poll
  • Number of students who have not answered the poll
  • Total Votes
  • Clear poll results
  • Download CSV - Clicking on this button will download the polling results to the currently used device.
