How to add a Numeric Slider Question

  1. In your assignment or assessment, head to the Work/Questions tab and click the blue button that says Insert Content.
  2. In the popup box, click Numeric Slider.
  3. Type out your question in the first text box.

  4. The minimum and maximum values of the slider can be adjusted in the text boxes underneath. The interval is how large the gap between each number choice is. For example, if the interval is set to 1, the slider will allow the user to access 1, 2, 3, 4, and so on. If it is set to 2, then it will allow 1, 3, 5, and so on. Of course, the first number will be the minimum that you set earlier.

  5. The Answer Choice section is where you will enter all of the labels on the slider that students will have to correctly place according to your stated Correct Value.

  6. Allowed Threshold allows students to place that label that much away from the correct value to get the points for the question.

  7. Add more labels by clicking the button that says [+] Answer Choice.
