Hello and welcome to the eKadence unified learning platform, today we will be going through how to find and create a survey within the platform. In the ever-evolving landscape of education, incorporating interactive and engaging elements into online learning platforms is paramount for enhancing student engagement and gathering valuable feedback. One such tool available on the eKadence learning platform is the Survey Stream feature. However, this feature was designed to be much more than just a survey, we harness the power of AI to analyze the data from your survey and develop a tailor-made summary that includes important themes and data points! Our goal is to empower teachers in assessing student understanding, gauging opinions, and improving instructional strategies. In this article, we'll explore how teachers can effectively utilize the Survey Stream feature to enhance their teaching experience on eKadence.


Finding the Survey Stream Feature:

  1. Login to Your eKadence Account: From the dashboard, you will look for the global navigation bar at the top of your screen.  
  2. Global Navigation Bar: Click on Resources.  
  3. Finding the My Survey Option: Look for the My Survey feature among the available tools or options within the Resource section.  
  4. Getting Started: Once you click on My Surveys, you will see Open Surveys and Closed Surveys


Creating a Survey Stream:

  1. Select + Create a Survey: To start building out your survey you will need to click on the + Create a Survey button at the top right-hand side of your screen. 
  2. Getting Started: Add a title first, and then create the survey. Feel free to add a Description, it is not necessary to make the survey, just a title is needed. 
  3. Design Survey Questions:  Click on the +Insert Content Button. From here you can choose various question types such as Date Time, Dropdown, Multiple Choice, Linear Scale, School Selection, Text, Text Area (Long Response), Email, Name, and Role. 
  4. Add Multimedia Elements: Add images, videos, audio clips, and attach files through our standard text editor.  
  5. Publish Survey: Choose the date and time you want responses to be accepted. Add if you want respondents to log into eKadence or to be anonymous. Next, choose the link or use a unique QR code that we generate for each survey.


Analyzing Survey Results:

  1. Access Survey Responses: Monitor survey data in the responses section next to Publish.
  2. AI Sumerized Responses: Our AI will analyze and summarize your survey responses to gain insights into some of the common themes that emerged throughout your survey. Our AI tool will break down each data point and give the percentage of respondents that had common themes with other respondents. 
  3. How to view raw response data (Streams): Click on Streams, next to the Summary option. 
  4. Export Responses & Print Summary: By clicking on the Export Responses button it will automatically populate your responses into an xlsx. file. To print click on the Print Summary.
  5. Upload Response: You also have the option of uploading responses from an external survey system. However, to do so you must have your survey responses in an xlsx. file or your responses will not upload into our Survey Stream feature.
